26 October
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
How do fragments become form? How do scattered thoughts, images, and moments turn into a story? This studio session invites participants to confront artist blocks and learn how to shape raw ideas and concepts into thoughtful, repurposed, mixed-media assemblages.
Working with a shared reservoir of magazines, newspapers, photographs, along with books and handmade paper from previous sessions, you’ll cut, paste, and layer fragments into collages that carry new narratives. This is a space to experiment with building and breaking, only to build again through paper.
Through guided exercises, participants will learn to:
- Compose with intention
- Source and repurpose images for storytelling
- Build narratives from fragments
- Develop an artwork ready for the wall
By the end of the session, you won’t just have a finished piece, but also an understanding on how to thread thoughts into form, finding clarity, continuity, and creativity within fragments.
