Summer 2026 Program

Summer 2026 Program

Summer 2026 is a season of making and knowing. Across the artist’s studio, the writer’s page, the creator’s table, we gather curious minds around a common idea: that making is a form of thinking, and that knowledge accumulates slowly, through exchange and sustained practice.

Our spring exhibition continues into summer with Human in the Loop by Dr. Ahmad AlAttar, an interactive sound-based installation where visitors are invited to interact with the work and discover patterns through touch and listening.

The season supports experimentation, dialogue, and the kind of learning that evolves over time. Programs extend beyond single sessions into longer, more connected formats: reading and writing circles, studio seminars, open studio days, and fun workshops for families and children of all ages. By gathering our community on this creative journey, we hope to bring joy to learning and art-making.

Returning programs include Tatreez Circle with Joanna Barakat and A Writing Practice, formerly Pencil In, with Sarah Afaneh, each building on the communities they established last season. Our popular Maktaba thought circle series returns this summer and brings together writers, artists, and researchers to explore writing and ideas from the Global Majority.

A special Two Odd experience, rooted in the rhythms of Mina Zayed, brings food, design, and conversation together into a collective meal. The 421 Summer Club, in collaboration with Ladder Up, offers children two weeks of movement, making, and creative learning on campus.

The season also introduces The Public Studio, hosted by four passionate creative practitioners, where anyone can drop in to paint tiles, learn print-making, or create their own zine. It’s a full day designed for anyone who wants to make something with their hands.

This summer, it’s time to get curious and start your next creative adventure.
