Pencil In with Sarah Afaneh

Writers’ Circle

Join us for Pencil In with Sarah Afaneh, a communal writing session designed to help writers stay focused, inspired, and connected through shared creative time.

Pencil In is a writers’ group created to provide a supportive environment where writers can write alone, together. Inspired by the idea of body-doubling—working near others to stay engaged and motivated—these sessions invite participants to gather, focus on their writing, and benefit from the collective energy of a creative community.

During the session, participants will spend dedicated time working on their own texts while also having the opportunity to share ideas, exchange feedback, and engage in thoughtful conversations with fellow writers. Whether you are drafting new work, revising existing pieces, or simply carving out time to write, the session offers a welcoming and focused space to develop your voice alongside other like-minded writers.

Pencil In is open to anyone with a love for the written word. No prior experience is required—just bring your notebook, laptop, or any writing materials you prefer.
