Projects: Barber Osgerby
Barber Osgerby, Projects is the most comprehensive survey of the designers' work to date, featuring six essays, each one offering a behind-the-scenes look into such career-defining projects as the Loop Table, the London 2012 Olympic Torch and the Tip Ton chai. Conversations with key industry figures form the basis of the texts, providing an unparalleled insight into the designers' approach and working methods. A series of stunning images, organized thematically - from studio shots and sketches, to models and form studies - runs throughout, allowing the focus to shift from the theoretical to the tangible. This rich and vibrant monograph is a celebration of a hugely successful and long-lasting creative partnership.
Barber & Osgerby founded their studio in 1996 and have established collaborations with global manufacturers such as Knoll, Vitra, and B&B Italia. Their work is held in the permanent collections of London's V&A Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, and the Art Institute of Chicago. Jana Scholze is a curator, writer, and educator. Currently course leader at Kingston University, London, she previously worked as a curator at the V&A Museum, London.
