Season Program
Spring 2025 Program
10 April - 21 June

At the heart of this season’s programming is memory—both human and non-human. Memory doesn’t exist in isolation; it lives in the trees that have weathered the seasons, in the pavements that carry the imprints of our journeys, and in the quiet corners of our minds, where echoes of the past resurface. We encourage you to see yourselves as part of something larger, something deeply interconnected. In times of chaos and uncertainty, we hope these connections can serve as an anchor.
This exploration of memory extends from our Winter exhibitions, on view until May 4, into our upcoming Spring exhibitions Ana Escobar Saavedra: It Starts Where It Ends, part of the Artistic Development Program, and Unstable Grounds: 2025 MFA Graduate Exhibition, showcasing the work of this year’s graduating cohort at New York University Abu Dhabi. Each exhibition explores memory through a unique perspective. Saavedra examines the connection between memory and identity, while the MFA exhibition considers how memory shapes contemporary perception.
Our Spring 2025 program invites participants to access memory through unexpected entry points, challenging conventional understandings of memory as purely individual or human-centric. Expect a series of workshops and collaborations that take you on a journey through different 'worlds', mycological, botanical, urban, and internal, each exploring how memory and consciousness function beyond human perception.
Returning this season are 421 favorites: Jamming Sessions, Performance Co/Lab, the Khayal Series, Messy Play, Pencil In, and another Performance Soiree. Alongside these are exciting new offerings such as film screenings, photo walks, and two more soirees dedicated to the foodies and archivists in the community!
Our current exhibitions “Abdullah Al Saadi: Sites of Memory, Sites of Amnesia” and “Alla Abdunabi: Are your memories of me enough for you?” will remain on view until May 4.
