Palette to Pedagogy: Teachers Evening
Join us for an educators evening to explore artworks in our major fall exhibition, Way of the Forest, a traveling edition of Colomboscope arts festival. An immersive exploration of humanity’s relationship with nature, the exhibition is held across Galleries 1 and 2 and serves as a study of our ecological past, present, and future.
This exhibition, which is part of our Fall 2024 program, features the works of 19 artists from the Global South and is curated by Natasha Ginwala (Artistic Director, Colomboscope), Hit Man Gurung (artist and curator), Sarker Protick (artist and curator), Sheelasha Rajbhandari (artist and curator), and Vidhi Todi (Assistant Curator, Colomboscope 2024).
Way of the Forest explores ideas and practices rooted in the healing and restorative powers of the forest. The forest is presented as a space for relearning, sanctuary, and refuge—a space to nurture new imaginations and to collectively dream up new ways of being together in the world.
This after-work event is for UAE-based educators and offers an opportunity for teachers to utilize contemporary art made by regional artists as part of learning tools presented in the classroom. With this hands-on experience, we encourage educators to embark on a journey of exploration and inquiry within arts and culture.
All materials and light refreshments will be included.
This event is only open to educators and teachers.
Deadline for registrations is Sep 30, 2024
Registration is now closed.
We look forward to welcoming you at 421!
