Join sisters Rawan and Layan on a Jamming Session right in time for Eid!
Soft, delicately spiced, and filled with sweet dates or nuts, ma'moul is the ultimate Eid sweet treat of the Arab world. For generations, these handcrafted cookies have been at the heart of festive gatherings across the region, their intricate patterns and rich flavors symbolizing hospitality, abundance, and togetherness.
In this region, when dates are plentiful and families prepare for celebrations, ma'moul becomes more than just a dessert, it’s a tradition, lovingly passed down through hands dusted in flour, with memories of loved ones in the kitchen.
In this special workshop, Rawan and her family welcome you into their gluten-free kitchen, where they’ve reimagined this beloved delicacy to be enjoyed by all, including those with gluten allergens. As a family who has navigated food allergies, they’ve found alternative ways to make traditional dishes with recipes that preserve the essence of their ingredients while making it accessible to everyone.
Now, as Eid Al Adha approaches, they invite you to knead, fill, and press your own gluten-free ma'moul, just as families have done for centuries. Whether you’re continuing a tradition or discovering it for the first time, come bake with love, share stories, and celebrate the joy of Eid with treats made for everyone at the table.
This workshop is 120 AED per participant.
